Think
of our consultant as one of your Pastoral Staff.
In the
larger Capital Stewardship firms the average longevity of consultants is
approximately eighteen (18) months. It is possible and even likely to
have one consultant for the presentation, another for the program and still
different consultants for the follow-up visits. This often produces a
negative effect on the program, with an inevitable loss of continuity. Master
Plan Ministries takes a much more pastoral role, committing that the same
consultant will serve you through the 40 months of the program. We
desire to be considered a part of the church staff and family for the long
term.
Our
consultants usually preach two or three weekends during the intensive phase
of the program. A stewardship campaign is enhanced when your people relate
to the consultant
in a “pastoral” role rather than as a “hired gun fundraiser.” The
rich pastoral experience of our consultants creates confidence in the
congregation as they are mobilized, motivated and taught Biblical principles
of stewardship. This commitment enables us to help churches raise between
three to five times their annual incomes over the three-year giving period.
Some firms offer a good program, but their consultants have little practical
experience in leading a thriving local congregation.
The
time frame for a campaign.
After we
meet with your leadership team and they decide to engage Master
Plan Ministries, you can begin a program
(usually lasting three to four months) within two weeks if
the church calendar and the consultant’s calendar allow
it. Ideally, more lead time is preferable. We
contractually obligate ourselves to congregations for a
forty (40) month period. We continue to work with the
church and the follow-up team for the
three years of giving.
Once the
program begins we will be at location nine to thirteen
times, including follow-up visits. When we are on site, we
provide the program, the motivation and
training of every facet of the Master Plan. We are
also highly respected for our almost immediate
accessibility when not on site.
